I truly believe that the description of this cartridge when I ordered it was that it was Canon brand (now it is very clearly marked as not being Canon brand). When I called to complain, the representative was very polite, and offered to lower the cost (to a comparable cost from other non-OEM vendors) and I agreed to it. So far, it appears to be a good replacement.
