Technical Summary:

The feature that is the foundation of the Dahle CleanTEC 41430''s design is the integrated CleanTEC air filtration system. CleanTEC improves air quality in the office by keeping the dust out of the air to provide a cleaner, healthier work environment. Up to 98% of the fine dust particles created during paper shredding are trapped using a 3 ply recyclable filter located directly above the cutting cylinders, collecting the dust at its source. The SmartPower Energy Management System has two stages; power consumption is reduced after 10 minutes of inactivity by switching to an idle sleep mode, and if the shredder is inactive for 30 minutes, power use is eliminated.

The Safe Technology package uses a Verbal and Contact Emergency Shutdown, which allows users to yell "Stop" or hit the cover of the machine and the shredder immediately stops. Electronic sensors in the steel reinforced feed opening turn the shredder off if fingers get too close, even though the opening is only large enough to accept paper. A door open interlock that prevents the shredder from running when the cabinet door is open and an emergency shutoff switch on the back of the machine are additional layers of personal safety. The command dial''s lights advise proximity to sheet capacity, and the machine will not allow capacity to be exceeded. The dial illuminates green if under capacity, yellow if close to capacity, and red when capacity is exceeded. In the event of overfeeding, operation ceases to prevent jams; feed the shredder again after removing sheets to resume functionality.

The automatic EvenFlow Lubricator drips oil slowly and continuously across the entire cutting mechanism. This keeps the shredder running at maximum efficiency, without relying on user-dependent maintenance. The 41430, along with all Dahle CleanTEC shredders, has a "floating" head seated on rubber mounts inside a wooden cabinet. The cabinets are designed to dampen sound (none run louder than 55 decibels), so the shredder can be placed almost anywhere without being noisy and distracting. Lockable swivel casters allow for easy mobility. This high security cross cut shredder can shred 400-2,000 sheets per day, providing a complete package for data security.
