Technical Summary:

The foundation of the Dahle CleanTEC 41514''s design is the integrated CleanTEC air filtration system. The goal of this feature is to improve air quality by removing harmful dust particles from the air to provide a cleaner, healthier work environment. A 3 ply recyclable filter located directly above the cutting cylinders traps up to 98% of the fine paper dust generated during shredding at the source of its creation. The SmartPower Energy Management System operates in two phases; an idle sleep mode engages after 10 minutes of inactivity, reducing power consumption, and after 30 minutes, the shredder completely powers down, eliminating energy use altogether.

CleanTEC shredders include a Safe Technology package, which uses a Verbal and Contact Emergency Shutdown. This allows users to hit the cover of the machine or say "Stop" to immediately stop the shredder. The steel reinforced feed opening is only large enough to accept paper; electronic sensors in the opening turn the shredder off if fingers get too close, as an extra precaution. An interlock that prevents opening the cabinet during shredding and an emergency shutoff switch on the back of the machine add additional layers of personal safety. The CleanTEC 41514 is equipped with ESP - Electronic Sensing Protection. It "knows" how many sheets of paper are being fed, and will not allow the user to exceed the sheet capacity. The easy to use command dial illuminates green when under capacity, yellow when close to capacity, and red when capacity is exceeded; operation ceases until paper is removed to prevent overfeeding.

The 41514, along with all Dahle CleanTEC shredders, has rubber mounts, which reduces vibration by keeping the head "floating" in the wooden cabinet. The cabinets are designed to dampen sound (none run louder than 55 decibels) and have lockable swivel casters, so the shredder can be placed almost anywhere without being distracting and noisy. This cross cut shredder can shred 400-2,000 sheets per day. The automatic EvenFlow Lubricator drips oil slowly and continuously across the entire cutting mechanism. This keeps the shredder running at maximum efficiency, without relying on user dependent maintenance.
