Technical Summary:

The Dahle CleanTEC 41622''s design is founded upon improving air quality in the office and providing a cleaner, healthier work environment. The integrated CleanTEC air filtration system traps up to 98% of the fine dust created during paper shredding using a 3 ply recyclable filter located directly above the cutting cylinders. By collecting the dust particles at their source, they are kept out of the air, lowering possible health risks in the office. The multi-stage SmartPower Energy Management System reduces power consumption after 10 minutes of inactivity by engaging an idle sleep mode, and if inactive for 30 minutes the shredder completely powers down for zero power consumption.

The CleanTEC 41622 is equipped with ESP - Electronic Sensing Protection. This feature prevents overfeeding of the shredder, as it "knows" if too many sheets are fed, and will temporarily lock out to avoid jams. The easy to use command dial illuminates green when the number of sheets fed is under capacity, yellow when close to capacity, and red when capacity is exceeded. It also notifies when to add oil and when to change the bag or filter. CleanTEC shredders include the Safe Technology package, which uses a Verbal and Contact Emergency Shutdown. This allows users to hit the cover of the machine or yell "Stop" to immediately stop the shredder. The steel reinforced opening is only large enough to accept paper, but electronic sensors in the feed opening turn the shredder off if fingers get too close as a safeguards. An interlock on the cabinet door that prevents opening during shredding and an emergency shutoff switch on the back of the machine add additional layers of personal safety.

The 41622''s shredding head, like all Dahle CleanTEC shredders, is mounted in a wooden cabinet on rubber "shocks", which isolate vibrations and reduce noise. The cabinets are designed to absorb sound (none run louder than 55 decibels), so the shredder can be placed almost anywhere without being distracting. Lockable swivel casters make it easy to move the shredder as needed. The EvenFlow Lubricator automatically drips oil slowly and continuously across the entire cutting mechanism.
