The Scrittore’s sturdy design, hard-shell carrying case and locking carriage protect it on long journeys to the cabin or the closet. It can be utilized for printing on envelopes, labels, carbon-copied forms and other tasks unsuitable for computer printers. Features:

• Line Space Lever: Moves the carriage to the right and advances page to the next line..
• Line Space Selector and Carriage Lock Lever: Sets line spacing to single, 1.5, double spacing, or free spacing (0). Set the selector to ‘o’ to lock the carriage. Be sure to lock the carriage when transporting the typewriter.
• Margin Stop Tabs: Sets the left and right margins by depressing tabs and sliding to desired positions. The bell ring indicates five more keystrokes before stopping.
• Margin Release Key: Depress to type beyond margin stop tabs. This key will also disentangle jammed type keys.
• Paper Support Bar: Raise support bar to hold paper upright.
• Paper Release Lever: Releases or secures page to platen roll.
• Carriage Release Lever: Disengages carriage for repositioning on page.
• Platen Knobs: Turn for inserting paper or advancing the page.
• Back Space Key: Moves carriage in reverse one space at a time.
• Pre-Set Tab Key: Set up for 10 tab positions for typing in columns or for varied indentations.
• Space Bar Key: Moves carriage one space at a time.
• Space Repeater Key: Hold to move carriage quickly down the type line.
• Shift Key: Press for typing capital letters or special characters.
• Shift Lock Key: Press for continuous typing in capital letters or special characters. Disengage lock by pressing either Shift Key.
• Impression Control Lever: Adjusts the pressure of the keystroke on the paper.
• Line Drawing: Insert pencil tip into hole and depress Space Repeater Key to draw lines.
• Paper Bail: Holds paper against platen and features 8 1/4” measuring ruler.
